Black Woman Kindness Initiative held their Community day event on 11th March which saw the launch of the Better Me Better Life campaign. The aim of the campaign is to improve the current provision of the Health and Community services available to Black Women and to identify the gaps and inequalities within services in Redbridge. They are working toward a fairer and more inclusive experience for a happier, healthier lifestyle for Black women in Redbridge.

The event was a real community affair, bringing together community services Women4women from positive East, Healthwatch Redbridge, Social Prescribers and Public Health Redbridge. The event was attended by Mayor of Redbridge who spoke with the small business vendors at the event.

Guest speakers Redbridge Talking Therapies, Mummy’s Day Out and Public Health Redbridge shared information on their services.

Registration to form a focus group was formed at the event to help with raising awareness of the Better me Better life campaign. If you wish to register, please email bwki2019@outlook.com.
