Free 16-week programme for over-60s aims to increase strength, flexibility and balance

The programme is meant for Redbridge residents with declining strength and/or balance who have had a fall or near miss in the last year. The course should help improve your strength and balance, help you stay active and independent, and you can socialise with others over a cup of tea.

The exercise consists of standing and sitting, progressive strength, balance, flexibility and aerobic exercise including adapted Tai Chi.

The sessions will be led by a qualified instructor who specialises in preventing falls in older people.
You need to register by phone as organisers may need to contact your GP. Most people will be able to take part.
