Your spotlight on local services

Volunteering opportunities at Barking, Havering, Redbridge University Trust

At BHRUT they are always looking for support from our community to help them on their journey to outstanding. One way in which people can get involved is by becoming a volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to make friends, build confidence and bring the community together.  If you are reliable, flexible and have some spare time they would love to hear from you, as they think that they have something for almost everyone.  They would like every ward to have volunteers to help improve their patients’ experience, whether you are talking to patients about their experience through FFT, or you are helping at mealtimes, playing cards/board games with patients or you are reading to children in our paediatric department, there is always something for you to do.

Whilst they are recruiting specific roles they nearly always have opportunities in our other roles, such as clerical volunteers and chaplaincy visitors.  They are especially interested in hearing from you if you play an instrument, sing or if you are a student or qualified beauty therapist.
