Community Action Redbridge

We’re Community Action Redbridge, a local charity working to create positive change and make Redbridge a place where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive.

•  We pioneer new ways of involving local people in the decisions that affect them, and support them to lead change in their own communities.
•  We support community organisations to flourish and thrive, and create a supportive environment for their work.
• We facilitate stronger connections, and mobilise people, communities and  organisations around their shared ambitions for Redbridge.

Monthly Meetings

Community Action Redbridge invite local people to attend their monthly meetings at Loxford Children's Centre (see downloads for more information). 

Details: 3rd Wednesday each month, 10:00-11:45am Loxford Children’s Centre, 136 Ilford Lane, Ilford, IG1 2LG

This is part of our healthy communities programme which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of local people and tackle health inequalities in Redbridge. We take a health creation approach, empowering local people and communities to take control of their health and wellbeing and act as co-producers of health. 

We achieve this by: 

• developing trusted relationships with different communities
• supporting the capacity of communities to identify and respond to their own issues and priorities
• offering people practical ways to deal with issues affecting their health and wellbeing and promote early intervention
• identifying and making visible the health-enhancing assets in local communities

Through our work, we aim to develop a better understanding of how health inequalities are experienced in the borough and amplify community voice in decision-making.
