This is part of our healthy communities programme which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of local people and tackle health inequalities in Redbridge. We take a health creation approach, empowering local people and communities to take control of their health and wellbeing and act as co-producers of health.
We achieve this by:
- developing trusted relationships with different communities
- supporting the capacity of communities to identify and respond to their own issues and priorities
- offering people practical ways to deal with issues affecting their health and wellbeing and promote early intervention
- identifying and making visible the health-enhancing assets in local communities
Through our work, we aim to develop a better understanding of how health inequalities are experienced in the borough and amplify community voice in decision-making.
