About this event

An exciting and timely conference looking at the health inequalities experienced by marginalised communities in East London and how the lessons learned from the Covid 19 Pandemic could help improve services for the future.

Led by the Patient Welfare Association, in partnership with Healthwatch, this friendly and welcoming conference will allow residents, patients, staff and health and care providers to come together to share their experiences and work to build ideas for change.

Workshops will use case studies to help us understand what we have learnt about:

· providing hospital care that includes family and carers and takes account of cultural and religious beliefs.

· the impact of changes to health and care access on marginalised communities. – including GP, A&E, dentists and planned care.

· the impact housing, employment and income have on health inequalities.

The workshops will be followed by a panel of local and national health leaders will discuss what they think the pandemic has taught us about tackling inequalities in health and care outcomes.
