Review of eye care services in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge (BHR)

BHR Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are reviewing eye care services provided within Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge and want to hear the views of local people in all three boroughs.

They are committed to providing local people with eye care services that are easily accessible and meet their needs. Instead of being in hospitals, these services can be delivered in various locations, including community clinics, high street opticians and GP practices.  

Community-based services for treating minor eye conditions and monitoring stable eye conditions are already running in community clinics and GP surgeries in Barking and Dagenham and Havering. Services for monitoring stable eye conditions are delivered in the community in Redbridge.
