NHS North East London Polio Vaccination Update
There are signs that the virus is spreading in London. The number of children vaccinated in London is lower than it should be, so it is very important that children are protected against polio and reduce the risk of it spreading. Parents are being contacted by their GP practice for their child to have a booster or catch-up polio dose. There are also a number of vaccination sites which are open to bookings for all children aged 5-9 who are registered with a GP and up-to-date with their NHS routine childhood vaccinations, and have not had a vaccination within the last 12 months. Details of vaccination sites across north east London can be found online and this will be updated as more sites become available.
