TARACC are launching a new cancer support service from July 2024.

LIFE is for enjoying.  Following on from the cancer conference on the 10th May 2024, we've set up LIFE,  to provide a number of activities bringing people with lived experiences of cancer together, to improve fitness, socialise and be supported to enjoy life. 

If you have had a cancer diagnosis, please consider joining these activities, or if you know of someone who has, kindly share this information with them.

Less than half of women would act on ‘red-flag’ cancer symptoms

Under half of women would act on ‘red-flag symptoms’ a bleed after the menopause or between periods (45 and 44% respectively). Abnormal vaginal bleeding is a ‘red-flag’ symptom of three of the five gynaecological cancers: womb, cervical and vaginal, which together affect around 13,150 women and people with gynae organs each and every year in the UK.
