The panel includes representation from different voices across our local areas including age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, physical and mental health conditions, and people with learning disabilities.

Anyone living in north east London is invited to sign up and be part of the People’s Panel. By joining you will help support your NHS and social care services, be a voice for your community and help create services that work for you and others in your areas

How old do you have to be to join the panel?

18 and over

Do I need to live in north east London to join the panel?

Yes, the panel is for NEL residents only as can only influence things in NEL  – there are other regional panels that will better reflect areas which sit outside of the North East London, and will be more relevant to where you live and can better influence the health and social care services that you access.

What can we expect from being a panel member?

To receive at a minimum a monthly newsletter and quarterly survey to complete, there will also be the opportunity to take part in focus groups and other events locally and across NEL.

What benefits are there to joining the panel?

It’s a great opportunity to share your local health and care system. By joining the panel your views and feedback will be shared with local teams and be used to help shape the decisions that are made within your community. It’s a great way to keep up to date with local engagement activities and events.

You do not have to complete every survey, but every time you do your voice and views are being heard and considered.

What does being, a member of the north east London People’s Panel involve?

Completing a short survey every month or so, the surveys will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. 
The surveys will be on different health or social care topics and by completing one you will help decision-makers hear from people who live in the area to inform how they make their decisions. You can fill them out on your phone or computer at a time and place that suits you, so being on the panel can fit around your other commitments.

You will be kept informed as to how the results of your involvement and how your feedback is used. Panel members may occasionally be asked to participate in a focus group, your involvement is optional.
