RAMFEL works with a range of vulnerable migrants that have different entitlements to healthcare along with varying needs. The rules are complicated to understand and can be very confusing.

Earlier in the year, the General Medical Council (GMC) ran a consultation on changes to their revalidation requirements for patient feedback.

Commissioned by Healthwatch England to gather feedback, we worked as part of a footprint with other local Healthwatch across North-East London. As a group we focused on the following themes:

The 2018-2019 Annual Report details the impact of and showcases the achievements that Healthwatch Redbridge has completed over the past year.

Healthwatch needs people who can talk with users and take note of what is happening in places where problems have been reported, or where examples of interesting or good practice can be made known and publicised.

Healthwatch organisations from Redbridge, Havering, Barking and Dagenham were asked by the Outer North East London Joint Health Scrutiny Committee to gather the views of patients using chemotherapy services.

Healthwatch Redbridge commissioned the Refugee and Migrant Forum Essex & London (RAMFEL) to look into issues around access to healthcare for vulnerable migrants.

One of Healthwatch's priorities for 2018-2019 is services for children and young people. This area is also one of the six overarching ambitions for the health and wellbeing strategy 2017-2021.

Between June and August 2018, we revisited all GP practices to see what changes had been made since the initial visits in 2017.

For many people with communication impairments going to see the doctor can sometimes have additional problems. Not hearing your name being called, having no access to a BSL Interpreter or relying on a family member to support you, can be frightening
